PRIVACY NOTICE

This privacy notice for Peppers Media Group LLC (“PMG,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) explains how and why we collect, store, use, and share (“process”) your information when you interact with PMG and all of its subsidiaries and brands, including without limitation micheck™, The Art of X (TAOx), tech.ed.x, umeus™, and any future affiliates or entities (collectively, the “PMG Ecosystem”). This notice applies across our websites, applications, events, sales, marketing, and related services (“Services”).

SUMMARY OF KEY POINTS
 

  • What personal information do we process? Depending on how you interact with us, we may process identifiers (e.g., name, email), contact details, payment-related data, commercial and usage information, device and analytics data, and professional or talent information you provide.

  • Sensitive personal information. We do not intentionally collect sensitive personal information unless it is necessary for a specific purpose, provided by you, and processed with appropriate safeguards or consent as required by law.

  • Third-party sources. We may receive information from service providers, payment processors, partners, and public or social sources, consistent with your settings and the law.

  • Why do we process data? To operate, improve, and secure the Services; authenticate identity; fulfill transactions; communicate; prevent fraud; comply with law; and for other purposes with consent.

  • Sharing. We share information with service providers and partners who help us operate the PMG Ecosystem, and in specific lawful situations (e.g., compliance, business transfers).

  • Security. We use organizational and technical safeguards, but no system is 100% secure.

  • Your rights. Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, object, restrict, or port your data, and to withdraw consent.
     

1. WHAT INFORMATION DO WE COLLECT?

Information you provide. We collect personal information you provide directly, such as:

  • Names, email addresses, phone numbers, mailing addresses, job titles, company names, and communication preferences

  • Account, login, or authentication data (including social sign-in if enabled)

  • Billing and payment information (e.g., payment method details necessary to process a transaction)

  • Talent or collaborator materials submitted to PMG (e.g., portfolios, reels, biographies, headshots)

  • Content you upload or submit (e.g., forms, inquiries, applications, contracts)
     

Information collected automatically. When you use the Services we may collect:

  • Device/technical data: IP address, browser, device type, operating system, language settings, referring URLs

  • Usage data: pages viewed, features used, time stamps, error logs, and performance data

  • Approximate location data: based on IP or device settings (if enabled)

 
Information from other sources. We may receive information from:

 

  • Service providers and partners (including analytics, payments, hosting, marketing, and security vendors)

  • Public sources and social platforms (consistent with your settings and applicable law)
     

Payment data. If you make a purchase or payment, we collect information necessary to process the transaction. Payment data may be handled by our payment processors and stored in accordance with their security and retention practices.

2. HOW DO WE PROCESS YOUR INFORMATION?
We process personal information to:

  • Provide, operate, and improve the Services and the PMG Ecosystem

  • Verify identity and execute agreements (including NDAs and talent/vendor onboarding)

  • Communicate with you about accounts, updates, transactions, and support

  • Personalize experiences and measure engagement and performance

  • Detect, prevent, and investigate fraud, security incidents, or misuse

  • Comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms

  • Perform other purposes with your consent where required
     

3. LEGAL BASES FOR PROCESSING
Where required by law (e.g., in the EU/UK), we process personal information based on:

  • Consent (which you can withdraw)

  • Contract (to provide Services or at your request before entering a contract)

  • Legitimate interests (e.g., to secure and improve Services, prevent fraud, support operations)

  • Legal obligations

  • Vital interests, where applicable
     

4. WHEN AND WITH WHOM DO WE SHARE PERSONAL INFORMATION?
We may share information with:

  • Service providers and processors that support our operations (e.g., hosting, analytics, payment processing, customer support, security)

  • Professional advisors (e.g., auditors, legal counsel)

  • Business transfers (e.g., merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets)

  • Authorities where required by law or to protect rights, safety, and security
     

We require service providers to handle personal information only on our instructions and with appropriate safeguards.

5. SOCIAL LOGINS
If you choose to register or sign in via a social account, we may receive profile information from that provider as permitted by your settings. We use this information for account creation, authentication, and Service delivery.

6. DATA RETENTION
We retain personal information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this notice, unless a longer period is required or permitted by law (e.g., tax, legal, accounting, or security). When no longer needed, we delete, anonymize, or securely store and isolate the data until deletion is possible.

7. SECURITY
We implement reasonable technical, administrative, and organizational measures designed to protect personal information. However, no electronic transmission or storage can be guaranteed 100% secure.

8. YOUR PRIVACY RIGHTS
Depending on your location, you may have rights to:

  • Access and obtain a copy of your personal information

  • Correct inaccurate or incomplete data

  • Delete your personal information (subject to lawful exceptions)

  • Restrict or object to processing

  • Port data to another service (where applicable)

  • Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent

9. DO-NOT-TRACK
Browser-based Do-Not-Track signals are not yet standardized. We do not currently respond to DNT signals.

10. CALIFORNIA AND OTHER U.S. STATE PRIVACY RIGHTS
If you are a resident of California or another U.S. state with applicable privacy laws, you may have additional rights to know, access, delete, correct, and opt out of certain uses or disclosures. You may submit requests using terms@pmghq.com. We do not discriminate against individuals for exercising their privacy rights.
Categories of data we may collect (depending on your interactions): identifiers; contact and commercial information; payment and transaction data; internet/usage activity; approximate geolocation; audio/visual or talent materials you submit; professional or employment-related information; and inferences derived from these categories.

We do not “sell” personal information as that term is defined by applicable law. Where we “share” or process personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, we will honor applicable opt-out rights.

11. INTERNATIONAL TRANSFERS
Your information may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your own. We implement appropriate safeguards as required by applicable law for such transfers.

12. CHILDREN’S PRIVACY
The Services are not directed to children where parental consent is required under applicable law. We do not knowingly collect personal information from such children. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact terms@pmghq.com so we can take appropriate action.

13. UPDATES TO THIS NOTICE
We may update this notice from time to time. The “Last updated” date reflects the most recent revision. Your continued use of the Services means you acknowledge the updated notice.
